On the basis of the SCHEUERLE LS 250 heavy load multi-axle vehicle, the self-propelling unit is able to travel with up to 2 x 16 axles and a total load weight of up to 1000 tons. The self-propelling unit consists of a combination of LS 250 axle modules and intermediate hydrostatic driving axles.
The drive system is coupled on the front axle together with the driver’s cabin, in which an MTU diesel engine with an output of 730 HP produces the oil pressure current that is required. This makes it possible for the self-propelling unit, when the load is ideally distributed, to transmit the necessary driving torques to the road even in adverse conditions.
As the powerful performance of the unit means that it is possible to dispense with additional traction engines when operating in confined spaces, the combined system of the self-propelling unit has an exceptional maneuverability and flexibility. What is more, these vehicles can reach top speeds when loaded. As self-propelling heavy goods vehicles, there is nothing to equal them in the whole of Europe.
